Wayside Inn in Shamokin

Wing's we're cold sauce taste like ketchup. Mashed potatoes w/gravy was cold 🍟 we're also cold. The entire time we we're there having dinner the waitress never once asked if we needed refills on our drinks. Broccoli salad had a sour taste 😭😭😭

Had our 50th Anniversary Dinner here. Karen and her staff out did our expectations. A good time was had by all.

This place is one of the best around.

Stopped by for lunch and a bunch of motorcyclists were coming at the same time. Sat near the bar and no one came over to wait on us. Were waiting on all the motorcyclists at the bar only. We finally left and went elsewhere. Heard the food is good but not that day.

The last time I was here was in 1979 when it was not much more than a restaurant and small banquet facility. Today it is a sports bar with outside seating; practically unrecognizable. It definitely has a bar-feel to it, without losing its family-friendliness. The pictures on the wall indicate that this is Penn State and Philly sports country. We came for lunch, and were not disappointed with our sandwiches and generous portion of fries (for an upcharge). Prices were pretty reasonable. Our server was easy going and friendly. It would be fun to check this place out on a Friday or Saturday night to get a better sense of the local flavor, because I think this is where it's at.

We were there for a wedding reception. The wait staff were extremely friendly, helpful and prompt. Food was great and nobody wanted for anything to eat. Pleasant experience .

We all liked our food except for one. His fish was cooked too long. Service was good. Our waitress was very nice. We sat at the low fire table.

Adorable family orientated place. I had a Great time. Even won a gift card. 1st time going there. Made friends. Despite being from Brooklyn welcomed me with open arms. Wow. It was a fundraiser chili tasting event for a. Football team. Nice nice people

I typically have some sort of chicken when I visit the Wayside, this time around I got a shrimp flat bread and it was delicious! For many reasons our family loves the Wayside. My kids are super fans of their chicken tenders and hate any other kind. We even take them with us on vacation. Cheers!Southwestern chicken from another night.

Good beer friendly staff. The CPR sandwich cajun prime rib is fantastic.

Went for my birthday, the waitress was so nice. Knew the drinks when I asked about them. Very nice. I enjoyed my dinner there.

I have an attachment to this place due to my Pop managing it years ago. But it's a nice atmosphere, decent food and nice patrons. I especially like the summertime when the deck is open.

Glasses and utensils were dirty. Steamers were great. Asiago and artichoke dip was great. Fake cheese on the nachos. 😑

We attended a Christmas party here and the meal was a Turkey dinner served family style. The setting was very tastefully decorated, the food was great, and the service excellent. Can't wait to try the dining room since we were in the banquet room. Two thumbs up!!

Very nice..had their seafood deals..there were many tents set up outside and perfect distancing..everyone wore masks..food was very tasty.Prices reasonable

Oh well I love the wings here. I'm sure their other food is also delicious-but i always get the sweet fire wings!! Best flavor ever too! I came on a Thursday, realizing Tuesday is their wing night, but its so packed Tuesdays its crazy. That just means their awesome in my book!! At least coming on an off night means I can also enjoy other things, like the atmosphere, my company and thoroughly enjoy my food too😁
